Karch Kiraly Says: Here comes the set...time to spike it on that prick!
Gabrielle Reece Says: Hey Karch...
Karch Kiraly Says: Uhhh.... *bonk* Hi!
The Bent Kangaroo Says: No distractions needed here to miss the spikes!

What Kind Of Game Is This?

Oh, come on! Just read the title!

Just Going Through The Motions. You Don't Have To Be So Nasty.

Yeah, but you didn't have to play this game.

That Bad?

Well, no. Just frustrating. For a very early NES game (with the all too familiar theme song present in many of their early games), they managed to get the rules and mechanics of volleyball down to a tee. But the play control is awful.

Always Whining About Play Control. You Know, I Bet You Weren't This Picky When You Were Young.

You're right, I wasn't. But then I didn't have hundreds of games at my disposal to choose from.

So What's Wrong With It?

You have a six-man team, and the game is supposed to select the player closest to the ball, and you wind up controlling that man.  Half the time, you wind up trying to move the wrong player and the ball falls.  Blocking spikes is near impossible, as the wrong guy jumps up at the net. Finally, timing your own spikes is very difficult.

Can You Play In Tournaments?

There is a world cup, if you can play that long without quitting...or losing.

So Who Would You Recommend This To?

Those who like volleyball may enjoy this for a while, but after playing Super Spike V'Ball, it's tough to get really excited about this offering.
