How Is It Different?

You can manually change the speed of your jet at any time depending on the style you like to play, and the control pad is very responsive. Also, there is a power-up that allows you to change the direction of your bullets, so at any time you can shoot in the eight cardinal directions.

Is It Insanely Difficult?

The levels are fairly simple, and there is rarely a barrage of enemies on the screen. I experienced no RAM issues. A few of the bosses are very tough, but they are a fun challenge with save states.

Is It Fun?

You're asking the guy who doesn't much care for shooters.
