So What Kind Of Game Is This?
A fairly ingenuitive karate game by the creators of Baseball Simulator 1.000.
And What's So Ingenuitive?
It may be the first martial arts game to implement a thorough system of attacking and blocking. There is an ongoing storyline throughout the game, as you switch between your journey (which is side-scrolling) and tournaments (which is set up Mortal-Kombat style). During tournaments you can defeat your opponent quicker by reacting quickly to his weak spot (indicated by a red dot) and attacking appropriately.
And, Since I Noticed The Low Score, What's Not So Ingenuitive?
The storyline is not all that interesting. The levels are very repetitive, as if they ran low on budget and had the same actors play multiple parts. And the play control is horrendous.
How Horrendous?
The control pad must be pressed precisely, and often it takes a good second for the game to respond to the buttons.
Who Would You Recommend This To?
With this play control, I honestly can't recommend it to anybody. Though many people seem to get around that fact. Somehow.
