The Adventures Of Lolo

Our Manual Critic, Crow T. Robot Reads: LOLO is not blessed with strength or agility but possesses great courage, high IQ and a lot of patience.
The Old Man Says: My name is not LOLO!
The Bent Kangaroo Says: I am blessed with all five qualities, but only one Atari game to speak of.

So, What Kind Of Game Is This?

Nearly, a pure puzzlefest. I say nearly, because there are a few levels where agility is, unfortunately, required. And as Lolo professes, he is not blessed with agility.

No Engaging Plot, Then.

Behold! Lolo, a bug-eyed blue ball, must save princess Lala, a bug-eyed pink ball, from an evil guy. The big bad evil guy who kidnapped Lala decided it would be fun to challenge Lolo with dozens of intricately designed rooms with unique and challenging puzzles, many of them decipherable only by guess & die. Sadly, for the big bad evil guy, Lolo has infinite continues and a password system.  The bad guys never get a chance.

What Is The Learning Curve?

Excellent. The first few rooms are spent learning various monsters and traps, with each level becoming increasingly more difficult, and in fact, more intriguing.

Who Would You Recommend This To?

If you love puzzles, you'll almost undoubtedly appreciate Lolo and its sequels. If you don't like puzzles, you will unequivocally turn it off after five minutes, if you don't avoid it altogether. I gave this game a score of eight. I like puzzles.
