Newsletter: Week 13 Though the result wasn't much in doubt, we had possibly the latest victory in SFFL history. We had one player clinch, one player eliminated, and a more complex playoff race than expected. |

Last Week
Chris rolls over yet another weak opponent in Randy to the tune of a 52-30 score. Randy becomes the first of two players to be eliminated from playoff contention. Bruce trailed Dave going into Monday night thanks to another monster peformance by this week's POW. But he only needed eight points from Edgerrin James, something he's done on a routine basis for weeks now. Miraculously, James only mustered four points, and Dave holds onto a 60-57 win and greatly increases his playoff chances. And finally, Branden and Beau partake in yet another high octane down-to-the-wire finish. Leading by 9 points going into Monday, Branden had 4 players to Beau's 3. But after Peyton hooked up with Marvin Harrison for an 80-yard touchdown on the first play of the game, Beau led by 20 points. Yet Branden slowly chipped away at the lead, thanks to a Hines Ward touchdown and Vanderjagt booting field goal after field goal. Down by one point with under two minutes to play, Vandy made a useless chip shot to take the lead. Had Pittsburgh came back and scored a touchdown, Beau still could have won, but they didn't even try, giving the much needed victory to Branden, and preventing Beau from clinching his playoff spot. |

Useless Info
~Beau extends his points lead for the fifth week in a row. It is now 77 points with two weeks left. ~This is the first time all season that Branden and Dave won in the same week. ~Randy had no players in double-digits for the third time this season. The last time this happened was 2002, when Shoe did it three times. ~Branden and Beau faced each other three times, with Branden winning the series 2-1. The scores? 76-72. 75-69. 72-70. Wow. Wow. |

Randy the Seer
Randy predicted, unofficially, before the week began, that he wouldn't make the playoffs. And his prediction came true! The clairvoyant is back on track. |
